An Average Guy Helping Others Do The Impossible

I had a very interesting conversation  with an individual yesterday. This  particular person called me up  yesterday wanting to know more  about me as a person versus what  was open knowledge on my blog,  videos, and emails.

I didn’t mind because in the business  that I am in (network marketing) it is  all about building relationships and  personal contact. The internet is  wonderful when it comes to using it  as a tool and leverage to generate  leads, send people through a sales funnel, etc.

That’s all it is though….a tool for leverage. You still have to make those personal connections.

In the conversation as this person was learning more about me and my character, I learned something in the process as well.

He told me about Mr. President. Now although the focus was not on Obama specifically, he preceeded to explain why people always call the President of the United States “Mr. President”. It doesn’t matter if you are real close to him, friend, relative, cabinet member, in private, in public he is always addressed as Mr. President.

I said why. He simply said, “It is to help him stay in CHARACTER.”

Wow! To me that was an eye opener. I started to get so much meaning and revelation on a deeper level.

It reminds me of biblical characters in the Old Testament. In Hebrew culture names mean something. It usually identified who that person was. With certain Old Testament Patriarchs, God had a different plan for their character versus what their parents named them. HE changed Abrams name to Abraham, Sarai’s name to Sarah, Jacob’s name to Israel. Saul’s name to Paul.

But then there were some whose names weren’t changed because their identity was wrapped up in their name, they just had to see it. Moses was the deliverer, Joshua was the savior to take them into the promise land. And there are countless others.

Now the purpose of this is not to give you a lesson in governement or bible history. I want to know though what do people call YOU?

Is it in character with who you are NOW or with who you are BECOMING? I want to address you as who you are becoming because you are more than what you are displaying right now.

I call you Mr. or Mrs. Significance, Millionaire, 3% Leader, Visionary, Communicator, Father, Mother, Friend, Philanthropist, Networker, Business Partner, Community Leader, Difference Maker, Devoted and Committed Husband/Wife.

I challenge you to start talking to yourself as the person who you are becoming. You have to be that person in your mind first, then start acting how that person acts, then you will actually have what that person has. Be, Do, Have.
