I’m gonna be honest, I was horrible at recruiting when I was in my SEVERAL MLM companies. I always wanted to know how others were succeeding at network marketing recruiting and I wasn’t.

I didn’t really get the answer until I read a book that literally changed my perspective on this whole industry. That is when I realized that if you want to be good at sponsoring network marketing distributors then don’t try.

I know that may seem confusing to you but I am confident that you will get it later. I was too busy trying to sponsor someone, chasing them down, begging them to join me and things just weren’t happening.

1. Read Magnetic Sponsoring by Mike Dillard.

2. Be a 3% leader.

3. Get good at generating leads or having enough prospects going through your system.

4. Don’t care about the prospect until they prove they are worth your time.

5. Always “appear” busy.

6. Value your time.

7. Be everywhere on the internet that people in your target audience hang out.

8. Turn people away.

9. Provide exceptional value.

While I’m sharing some truth let me dispell a myth. Whether you are in a MLM or Top Tier Direct Sales company, if you ask ANY top earner it does not take you recruiting hundreds of people for you to be successful. It only takes about 10 strong leaders for you to be on easy street for the rest of your life.

Now that you have read my list I hope you understand that you don’t have to TRY to recruit anymore. It’s all about who you are BEING.

Communicating on Facebook with other network marketers can be an absolute nightmare. Why? There are so many up there just wheeling and dealing the next great big cookie cutter opportunity that is going to make us see through the sun. Of course I am being sarcastic with that statement however I know you get the point.

If there is anything that is taught in the network marketing industry, it’s the art of communicating. My question is if the principles on communication worked well for years offline do they not work online as well? I guess most network marketers missed Communication 101 (I admit I did at first).

Recently I’ve been sharing some valuable content on how to market effectively on Facebook. I’ve talked about lead generating, proper etiquette, and more. Today I want to talk about what to say to your new friends via email, wall postings, or chat.

Your mission in asking the following questions is to build a relationship and see where you can help that person. THAT IS IT. DO NOT PITCH YOUR BUSINESS.

Now that I got that off my chest are you ready? Cool let’s get to the good stuff.

1. Are you in network marketing? This helps you to further qualify the prospect. Remember you are only adding friends that appear to be in network marketing because that is your target market.

2. How long have you been in? You are simply making small talk with this question.

3. Are you actively promoting your business? You are still qualifying with this question. You want to find out if this person is a serious builder and needs guidance or if they are treating it like a hobby.

4. Do you currently market online? Listen very carefully to the response you get on this. Most will let you know they have no clue how to market online. That’s a green light for you to drop some knowledge but only a little bit because you don’t want to bombard them.

5. What’s your favorite way to get leads? This question can set you up to learn from them AND also share with them effective marketing strategies. You may get offline or online answers. Whatever the case make sure you listen.

As they ask you more questions you can share more valuable content with them. This approach is 1,000 times more effective than the “I recruit you then build a relationship approach”. Reason being is because you are gaining their trust first and fostering a relationship. So IF they decide to join you in business they are going to stick around.

There is a formula for success any industry. Contrary to popular belief they are not secrets. You just have to know and follow the lead of the right person. If you’ve been bumping your head against the computer in frustration because you are not where you want to be, then this is for you.

Take Correct Massive Action Daily
A common mistake that a lot of marketers make is they market sporatically throughout the week. Their is no consistency and its not everyday. Then they wonder why they don’t see results. In this game of marketing he who is consistent with the correct action the longest wins out everytime. I know the excuses that come up: I have a job, family, school, long commute, etc. That’s understandable, I’ve been there. Even with all that going on imagine if you can take at least 2 hours a day and focus it on income producing activities. Think of the possibilities of where your business will be in 3 months.

Ingeniously Patient
Patience is truly a virtue. But what if you couple that with being intelligent and discerning at the same time? You get someone that is a top internet network marketer and producer in their company. The reason I choose those two words is because you can have someone that is patient all day long and it does them no good. For example you can be spending money on a PPC campaign that is not converting. But because you are patient you are waiting for things to turn around. You go 30 days without making any changes whatsoever but in the meantime you’ve lost a boat load of money. That is why I mentioned be ingeniously patient because you need to be intelligent enough to know when is the right time to make changes. But don’t be in a rush to do so. Constantly evaluate your methods of marketing.

Entitlement Banished
Nobody owes you anything at all. Life will only give you what you fight for. Don’t get sucked into the mindset that just because you placed a little add here and there the floodgates will open up. Being an internet network marketer is hard work. It takes diligence, patience, daily action, intelligence, drive, determination, and guts. If you are not willing to put up the fight then quit now because no one is going to hand you all the traffic.

This is nothing more than a recipe for success for internet network marketing. You must use all the ingredients and follow all the directions . If you are used to “doing your own thing” it won’t get you far in this industry. You have to carbon copy the leaders and top producers in order to get the results you want. I know from firsthand experience. When I decided to follow to a “T” what they taught be my business changed drastically. Yours can too.

Those are awesome and I greatly appreciate them as well. However keep in mind this is still a people business. We do business with people not credit cards. Some type of human to human interaction is warranted if you expect to make a full time income and have a lasting business.

Consistency of the 1st two things
Do you know why superstars in sports are just that, superstars? It’s not the money or talent. It’s simply because they mastered the basics and consistently do the basics. That is it. It’s the same when it comes to you and your network marketing MLM home business. Master driving traffic to your website and talking to people on the phone AND do it consistently. You will be amazed at how the heavens open up and shower you with blessings.

This is all very simple yet 97% of network marketers don’t do it. Now that you know what to do, examine where your flaws are and fix them. You deserve to have the best in life but you have to fight for it.

Newbies to internet network marketing ask all the time how can they sponsor someone when they haven’t made any money yet. They and veterans as well are constantly in search

1. The people you bring in will be higher quality. Not only that but the odds of them actually staying and working the business has increased dramatically.

2. You are selling people what they want. There is a saying that people who go in search of a drill don’t really want a drill but they want a hole. The drill is just the tool to make the hole.
In essence you are providing people a vehicle with your network marketing opportunity so that they can get the end result which is life on their terms.

This shows that you are a professional and not full of hype.

But what network marketing prospecting tip can I provide to those that still have a job and can’t travel? Talk about how you and your spouse take walks in the park (even if its on your off day, they don’t know). Share they joy of being able to be at your kids games and not have to try to sell someone on your opportunity. Talk about how you hang out with the guys at your favorite sporting event.

The key is NOT TO LIE. Show yourself having fun and really enjoying life.
