How To Make Money Off A Blog In 3 Easy Steps

If you want to learn how to make money off a blog all you have to do is Google or Youtube your query and you’d get millions of search results. Although I’ve been blogging off and on for the past 2+ years, I’ve never focused and been successful on making money from it till recently.

My main focus on blogging in the past was to brand myself and generate leads. That’s it.

So in case you don’t see the pattern here I’ll let you in on a lil secret. Since I wanted to increase my income, although I’ve been on the internet for a few years now, I humbled myself and decided to follow what those that were more successful than me suggested.

And since they said they blogged daily, I started to blog daily.

Now before I actually share with you this overly simplified system, let me tell you why it works so fast and why my former way of blogging and yours too doesn’t work fast enough nor allow you to make money off a blog.

When you first start a blog it is new in Google’s eyes. Although you may post daily, do keyword research, and follow content syndication strategies, Google still looks at you as being new. So you don’t have any authority in their eyes.

No authority means no high page rankings for keywords. Not at least for 6 months.

Let me share with you an example. When I started blogging on a daily basis, again my focus was not to make money off a blog but to generate leads. It took me a while at times to start seeing my blog on the 1st page of Google.

It wasn’t until I was blogging consistently, showed Google I was going to be around for a while, that I began to beat my chest proudly because I was on Google’s 1st page. Keep in mind this took MONTHS.

That being said think about sites like Wikipedia, Ezine Articles, Squidoo, Hubpages, etc. These sites are known as authority sites because you have THOUSANDS of people blogging or providing content on ONE DOMAIN NAME.

That is why if you do good keyword research and you post it to one of these sites, its easier and faster for you to get ranked versus if you were to put in on your personal blog.
