Becoming Self Employed Is The Dream Life Right??
Now that 2012 is fresh amongst us many Americans are exploring the idea of becoming self employed. Whether its because you hate your job, don’t want to commute anymore, need additional income, was laid off, or whatever the case may be, I want urge you before you make a decision that you read this report in its entirety.
It will save you literally years of hard work, frustration, being a slave to your business, pain, agony, and tears.
Today I had a brief conversation with a guy and his wife. I asked what they did for a living and he said we own our own business. I said oh cool, what kind. He replied back that they own an auto repair type business.
I said pretty cool that’s how you guys must get to spend time doing whatever you want.
And that’s when the conversation pretty much to a not so happy turn.
He proceeded to tell me that when “becoming self employed” or being your own boss, you get paid less and work more hours. This guy told me that he works 14 hours a day sitting in front of his computer.
When he’s not there he’s sleep.
I said what a drag. Where’s the freedom that comes with having your own business? He said the only freedom you have is that you don’t have a boss telling you what to do.
My heart literally sanked. Not because I was fearful that may happen to me. But because this poor couple was literally a slave to their own business. And they really thought there was no other way to have a business than what they were experiencing.
Pardon my language here but that sucks.
If becoming self employed is all about working 10+ hours per day, not having time to do what you want, barely making more money than what you were at your job, fighting the recession, dealing with depression, being fearful of not making pay roll all in the name of being able to be your own boss…..then forget that you can have it.
Sadly most people that are looking at becoming self employed pick “businesses” that make them a slave all over again. It’s just that they have changed slave masters.
Bump all that. You don’t have to go that route, experience that sob story, or go through that type of pain and agony……unless you want to.
There is a simpler AND easier way to becoming self employed and I’m going to show you how.
